William Williams Day was the son of Dexter B. and Hannah Cass Day, born Dec 28, 1825 in Genesse, New York. His great grandfather, Joseph Day, was a patriot in the American Revolution. Lucy M. Prince Day was the daughter of Jonathan Prince and Nancy Miller Prince, born Jan 1, 1831 in Lady, New York. They married in Dane County Wisconsin in 1848, moving to Iowa about 1858 where
William operated a lime kiln at a quarry owned by his father-in-law. Both sons
married in Osage, Iowa. Both daughters married in Lynxville, Wisconsin when the
family moved back there in about 1883. All, except for May, are buried at
