New York Skyline and Brooklyn Bridge, East River

Submitted by Jil Loewit

Photo from a postcard from about 1916. The info on the back of postcard reads:

"Over two billion dollars' worth of sky scrapers are erected here, with an office population of 1,000,000 people.  The East River is the center of enormous commerce and is crowded with vessels of all descriptions.  The Brooklyn Bridge, the finest in the world, is constantly proving its value as a means of transportation and has made Brooklyn a great manufacturing
center."

This postcard was sent to Miss Edith Kulish, 10915 Massie Ave, Cleveland, OH.  Sent from New York City on Aug. 9, 1916.  Message to Edith read: "How would you like to go swimming in this water?"-Flora

Postcard drawn by Irving Underhill for the "H-H-T Co.".
