George Washington Patterson Family

George Washington "G.W." Patterson 1831-1905 (with beard standing in center) and his 3rd wife, Nancy Loney Stingley Patterson 1840-1911 (standing next to G.W.).

The only other person identified positively is the submitter's great grandfather, George H. Patterson 1872-1961, standing with foot on bench. George H. was the son of G.W. and his second wife, Caroline Slaughter Patterson 1841-1879.

G. W. & Caroline had 9 children. It is believed that Caroline died in childbirth with 10th child.

The others are Nancy's children from her first marriage to Abel Stingley, and possibly 2 other children of G.W. & Caroline - John W. Patterson 1876-1943 (standing 2nd from left?) and Ruth Dina Patterson 1877-1950 (in white blouse, seated?).

G.W. & Nancy were married about 1884 in Stanton County, NE. This photo was taken sometime between 1890 and 1894 in Stanton County, NE.
