The man in the photo is reputed to be Henry Cornett Rives; b. 17 Jun 1836,
Houstonville, Iredell Co, NC; d.26 Oct 1863, Point Lookout P.O.W. Camp, St.
Mary's, MD. He served as a Pvt., Co. H, 4th Reg. NC State Troops, Army of the
Confederacy.
It could possibly be Archibald N. Steele; b. abt. 1831, Iredell Co, NC, d. 29
Jun 1862, Seven Days Battles near Richmond, VA. He was a Pvt. in the same unit.
