James Charles Wollam and Margaret Jane Cauffman lived in Mercer, Ohio, in
1840, they moved to Elkhart Indiana after they were married.

ANSWERS DEATH
Death came Sunday Morning. All Children Survive Father. Funeral Tuesday
Afternoon.
James Charles Wollam was born Oct. 1st 1839 at Celina, Mercer Co., Ohio, and
passed away Dec., 6th, 1914 age 75 years, 2 months and five days in Oronoko Twp,
Berrien Springs.
He was married to Margaret Jane Cauffman, Oct. 14th, 1860, to this union seven
children were born.
John W. of Goshen, Ind., George E. of Benton Harbor, Melvin P., of Winter Park,
Fla., Mary A., Frank D., Jesse C. and Nellie Mae of this place
On the 7th day of Aug., 1862 he enlisted in the 74th regiment of Indiana
Infantry to serve three years, but was discharged for disability on the 18th of
July 1863. He was a member of the G. A. R. and Major Murdock, circle.
He has been a member of the Camp and the I. O. O. F. for more than 35 years and
until of late years was one of the active members.
