Perlina Anna Smith Tewell

Perlina Anna Smith born in Arkansas, married to John Thomas Tewell, born in Indiana. Perlina was the daughter of James Smith & Christianna McLain. Perlina often misspelled, Palina & Pulina went by the name Anna Smith instead of Tewell. There is a long story concerning why the entire family including her husband used her maiden name. They lived in Arkansas, Indiana, Nebraska, Kansas and finally homesteaded in Harper County, Oklahoma. Married in Lawrence Co., Arkansas March 1879. She was 24 years old when she was married.
