Charles William Martin was born on 10 Aug 1846 in Virginia to Redmond Edward
Martin and Elizabeth Betsy Midkiff. He died on 09 Apr 1918. He married my
great-great grandmother Virginia Ellen Midkiff. He was in the 7th West Virginia
Cav on the Union Side and so was his father. They are both buried at the Old
Midkiff Family Cemetery in Alum Creek, Kanawha County WV.
