Margaret Beam Hoffman

Margaret Beam Hoffman was born in 1842 at Pleasant Grove, Schooley's
Mountain, Morris County, NJ and died five days before Christmas in 1887. Her
parents were William Beam and Rachel Fritts Beam.
She married was George Hoffman, a stone mason. Her children were: Andrew
Jackson Hoffman (1866-1923), Steward B. Hoffman (b. 1869), Mary E. Hoffman (b.
1871), Eliza J. (Lizzie) Hoffman (b. 1874), George Hoffman (b. 1876), Theodore
C. Hoffman (b. 1879), Jennie Hoffman (b. 1881), Harriet S. Hoffman
(1883-1967)the submitter's grandmother; and Louella (Lulu) Hoffman, b. 1885.
Margaret is buried at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Cemetery, Morris County,
NJ. Her tombstone reads: "Go home dear husband... dry your tears."
