The photo came out of an album with a signature and date of 1903. On the back
of the picture it says E.D. Keller Photographer, No. 381/2 S. Main St. Helena
Montana.
The album the photo was in belonged to the submitter's great grandmother,
Willamina Boyter, born May 24 1863 in Pittenween Scotland, her father was Robert
Boyter born 1835 Kilrenny Fife Scotland, her mother was Isabella Robertson born
March 27, 1857 in Scotland also. Willamina was raised in Gore Bay, Ontario and
married Francis Lees June 21, 1880. Francis Lees or Frank as he was called was
born about 1851 in Ancaster Wentworth Ontario, Canada, his parents were Francis
Lees born about 1819 in Fife or Galashiels, Scotland, and his mother was Jenette
or Jessica Findlay born about 1823 in Scotland. Francis and his parents lived
around Caledonia, Riverdale Ontario till moving to Manitoulin Island where he
met Willamina Boyter. After they married they made their home in Walford
Ontario. This is where they lived all their lives till their death.
