William Richard and Perneacy Robinson Love Farmstead, Reno Co., Kansas
Submitted by Phillip H. Pitzer
William Richard (10 Apr 1839 - 14 Jun 1921) and Perneacy Robinson (3 Sept
1857 - 30 Nov 1930) Love farm stead. William served in the Confederate Army.
Born in South Carolina and raised in Mississippi, moved to Kansas in the 1880s.
William and Perneacy had thirteen children. William and Perneacy are the
submitter's wife's great grandparents.
Everyone in the photograph is unknown, but they are all Love family members.
This house is now gone, but the land is still in the Love family. One
interesting thing is, the Love's brought with them from Mississippi, day lily
flowers which were planted near the home. There is now a large area of day
lilies near where the house once stood. Descendants of the Love family go there
and dig there own day lilies to plant near their own homes.
Photo taken about 1900, Center Township, Reno Co., Kansas.
