Just After the Steamer Eastland Turned Turtle

Chicago, Illinois, in July 1915. Photo captioned: "Just After the
Steamer Eastland Turned Turtle... This remarkable photograph was taken by an
amateur within a few minutes after the Eastland turned turtle in the Chicago
river last Saturday morning. He was about to board the boat as it started
to list. Victims are seen struggling in the water at right, while rescue
boats are coming on the scene."
