Joseph Heltman

Joseph Heltman, born 1793 in Pennsylvania, married 1818 in Centre Co, PA, to Elizabeth Catherine Goldman. They moved to Milton, Richland (later Ashland) Co., OH, year unknown

Joseph died in Milton Sept 11, 1873, and is buried in Ashland Cemetery.  The death certificate gives his age as 82 yrs, 7 mos., 10 days.  If the death certificate is correct, he was actually born in 1791.

He was the son of Johann Heldmann and Christina Glockner of Northampton (later Lehigh) Co., PA.

According to his wife Catherine's obituary, they were the parents of nine children;  eight of which are:  Sarah, Andrew, Joseph, Rachel, Emanuel, Mary, Louisiana, and William.
