 Youngstown Jaycees Mile of Dimes
Submitted by Jil
Loewit, daughter of Dr. Irving Loewit
The Youngstown Jaycees broadcasting live on the radio station
WKBN during their "Mile of Dimes" project. They are seen in downtown
Youngstown, OH near the movie theater (Warner Brothers' Theater?). The Jaycees
solicited funds for the local TB Association.
The Home Savings and Loan Company Building is seen in the background (building
with a point at the top of the building).
Youngstown Jaycee Irving Loewit is getting ready to
speak on the radio. He is the shorter man seen between two tall Jaycee
members.
The man to the right of Irving may be Russell Fish.
The man to the left of Irving is unknown. The man with the hat that
has his back to the camera is Walter Grey McKenrick Jr.
(1917-2000).
Photo taken abt 1951.
Recognize anyone? Please
let Jil know.
