Thomas James Keenan

Thomas James Keenan, son of John Keenan and Elizabeth Gamble Keenan, both parents from Portglenone, Ireland, was born on March 19, 1884, in Wheeling, West Virginia at 2811 Chapline Street. He married Mabel Bell Barr of Steubenville, Ohio on May 15, 1906 and they resided in Steubenville, Ohio. His first son, Merrill Leslie, was born on their anniversary in 1907, but died at age three. Another son, Kenneth Hannan Keenan was born September 16, 1913. Divorce followed and Thomas later married Zetta Neibling and had Howard, Mildred, and Thomas Jr. or "Bud" as he was called. Thomas James Keenan was a roller in the tin mills in Little Washington, Pa, and died April 4, 1961 from severe burns while being confined to a wheel chair. He is buried in Riverview, Cemetery, Martins Ferry, Ohio.
