Adronian Judson Armagost

Adronian Judson Armagost was born in Clarion
County on 29 Mar 1848, the son of Rev. I. C. and Elizabeth
Stahlman Armagost. When Jud was a boy the family moved to Troy
Township where Jud lived until about 16 when they moved into Plum
Township.
When only 16, Jud enlisted in the 112th PA Volunteers and was in seven
Civil War battles.
Jud was married to Margaret Jane Grove, was born in Plum Township
25 Mar 1854, the daughter of Grandison
W. and Angeline Welsh Grove. They had four children: Lizzie Armagost
Dunn, Will Armagost, Nellie Armagost Nelson,
and Grant
Armagost. Margaret Jane Grove Armagost died 30 Nov 1894.
Jud later married Mrs. Carrie Baldensperger,
a widow who had three daughters. Jud was in the oil business, and he died
of apoplexy in North Clarendon 10 Nov 1908.
