Alexander Craig

Alexander Tarlton Craig, from Madison Township, Tidal area, Armstrong Co., PA.  He was born in 1839, the son of Big George & Mary Magdalen Conrad Craig.

He married Mary Elizabeth Metzger, born 1845 Germany died 1927, Tidal area, Armstrong, PA.

Alexander was a Civil War Veteran, serving in Co. B 46th Reg. V.R.C.,  Atlanta Campaign under command of General Joseph Hooker. He laid along Nashville and Chattanooga Railroad tracks abt eight miles below Nashville for 6 to 8 weeks with fever before he was put in the ranks for the famous march to Atlanta, Georgia.

Alexander Craig died in 1906.
