August Herman G. Horn, born 19 May 1865 in
Germany, immigrated with his parents, William F. and
Justina Horn, on the ship Baltimore. They arrived in Baltimore, MD, in
1873, and moved to Allegheny (now the North Side of Pittsburgh), Allegheny
County, PA.
Anna M. Fogel, born 27 Aug 1865 in Pittsburgh,
was the daughter of German immigrant George Frederick
Fogle and his wife Margaret A. Spahman. Margaret
was the daughter of German immigrants Philip and Franciska
Spahman.
August and Anna were married 28 May 1891 in Pittsburgh. They became the
parents of six children.
Anna died 29 May 1941 at the age of 75. August
died 16 Feb 1955, while sitting in his rocking chair. He was
89. They are buried in Union Dale Cemetery, North Side, Pittsburgh.
