Grace Kernick was born 21 Sept 1871 in Fairview, Butler County, the daughter of Rev. E. M. and Elizabeth Kernick.
She married Herbert H. Clare, a Methodist minister
for the Erie Presbytery on 25 Aug 1892.

Clare pastored at Cherry Creek, Clarendon, Saegertown, Linesville,
Conneautville, Pilgrims' Congregational
Church, Jamestown, N. Y.; Russell, and Portland.
