Helena Dovenspike Umberhocker
Helena Dovenspike was from Hawthorne, PA. She
graduated from Clarion State Normal School (later called Clarion State Teachers
College) in 1923. She married Harry Umberhocker
and lived in Hawthorne.
The Sequelle, 1923, Clarion State Normal School Yearbook had this
to say about Helena:
"If there is any mischief in the air, we know on whom to blame
it. She tries to hide her thoughts by assumin a calm and tranquil mien,
but when you know her 'Oh, my!' She is not the quite little mouse one might
think."
