back. He began writing Leona Fulkerson in Texas during this time and married her in 1925. He remained in Texas for the rest of his life but always missed his childhood home. When Sherry, our submitter was a child, she went with her grandfather to his childhood home to meet her great grandparents, Charlie Shoup and Lynn Stubble. Lynn Stubble lived to be over 100 years old. Other lines in the Shoup family are Stubble, Frye, Hulings, Best and Coursin.
