Jud Armagost Family

Adronian Judson Armagost was born in Clarion County on 29 Mar 1848, the son of Rev. I. C. and Elizabeth Stahlman Armagost.

His first wife (the one shown in this photo) Margaret Grove, was born in Plum Township in Mar 1854, the daughter of Grandison W. and Angeline Welsh Grove.

The couple married on 20 Feb 1881, and they lived in Warren Co. Margaret, or "Maggie", died 30 Nov 1894. Their children shown in this photo:

Back, Lizzie Armagost Dunn; Center, Will Armagost, front center, Nellie Armagost Nelson, front right, Grant Armagost.  After her mother died, Nellie was reared some time by her aunt, Susie Grove Aldensperger.

Jud later married Mrs. Carrie Baldensperger, a widow who had three daughters.  Jud was in the oil business, and he died of apoplexy in North Clarendon 10 Nov 1908.
