Julia Connell was from Edensburg, PA. She is listed among the graduating class of  Clarion State Normal School (later called Clarion State Teachers College) in 1923.  

The Sequelle, 1923, Clarion State Normal School Yearbook had this to say about Virginia:

"Miss Connell came from Edensburg, and united with our class in 1923.  It is an inspiration to be with her because of her pleasing personality.  She is always ready for a good time.  Her hobby is making coffee."
