Louisa Frederike Altenhof Roehn and her children

Louisa Frederike Altenhof Roehn, front row
wearing dark dress, was born Oct 4, 1848 in Niedersachswerfen, Germany, and died
Feb 15, 1916 in Pittsburgh. She immigrated to the U.S. on Aug 15, 1865 aboard the sailing ship Herzogin von Brabant through NYC with her older brother,
Wilhelm, and her younger siblings Herman and August Altenhof. She married
Ludwig Louis Roehn in Pittsburgh on May 13, 1870.
The photo shows four of her children:
Left to Right: Whilamena Johanna Roehn, born Jan 2, 1887;
Louis John Roehn, born Jul 28, 1892; Conrad George Roehn,
born Sept 21, 1877; and Louisa Frederike Roehn, born
Aug 13, 1880.
Louisa Altenhof Roehn lived for many years at 1819 Edwards Alley, South Side, Pittsburgh and was active with the Birmingham United Church of Christ.
