Marie Elizabeth Reeg Bond Submitted by Sue Slifko Gillfillan, great granddaughter of Marie Elizabeth Reeg Bond Marie Elizabeth Reeg, daughter of Adam and Barbara Krug Reeg, was born 13 Jan 1885 in Millvale, PA. She married William James Bond (born 10 Aug 1890 to Henry James Bond and Elizabeth Ann Mellon) on 11 Sept 1910 and became the mother of three children: Mildred Mae, born 1911, married George Wilson Thompson; Ruth (1912-1918), and Lillian, born 1916, married Frank Carothers. Marie Reeg Bond died in Nov 1960 and is buried in Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery. She lived most of her live in Millvale, Pittsburgh, PA. The story behind this photo is that Marie hated it so much that
she tried to tear the original into pieces. In those days, it was un-lady like to smile. The photo was rescued by her daughter and handed down in the family.
