The Stapletons were friends of Sam and Minnie Harclerode possibly when they lived in Everett, Bedford County, PA. Mr. Stapleton and Sam Harclerode may have worked together in the steel mills in Everett and Monessen.

Vinton Stapleton died from Pneumonia at the age of 11. He was playing outside in the winter, fell into a pond or river, and died several days later. This photo was taken in Saxton or Everett, Bedford County, PA around 1910.

Chalmer Stapleton was a foreman with the Pittsburgh Steel Company in Monessen, PA. He lost his life when he went down into the pit to solve a
work problem.
