Peter Bloom Sr. (1822-1887) was a pioneer, farmer
and "rich in his love for the Lord." He married Margaret
Ann Shiry Bloom, the daughter of John Shiry, Sr.
and Mary "Polly" Shaffer.
They lived in Armstrong County until 1844, when they went by covered wagon to Centrepark, near
Moorepark, MI and settled with their three eldest sons who had been born in Armstrong Co. Story goes they had but $.03 when they arrived there, but he became prosperous and they had a lovely two-story brick home.
