Rebekah I.O.O.F Home of Western Pennsylvania Avalon, PA
Rebekah Home at Avalon
is located in the beautiful suburb in Allegheny County. It was organized in
1912, and incorporated in 1914. The Corporation is
composed of the Rebekah Lodges in the
western part of the state, and the Home is managed by a Board of Directors. The lodges pay one
dollar per member as a membership fee, which allows admission to the Home of all
indigent Rebekahs. It s supported also by per capita tax and voluntary
contributions. The Home is located on
a large lot with beautiful Shade and fruit trees and a grape arbor. The Home has
eleven rooms all nicely furnished throughout, making this an ideal little home
for the indigent Rebekahs. There are at present seven old ladies at the Home.
