Rev. Charles Thomas Toombs, born December 25,
1890 in Valdosta, Ga. to Wilbur & Sarah Toombs.
On March 6, 1923 was appointed pastor of The First Church of God In Christ,
Aliquippa, Beaver County, Pa. and served faithfully until his homegoing into
eternal rest on September 18, 1959.
His final sermon was on August 5, 1959, from the text of Colossians 3:16: "Let
the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing
one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your
hearts to the Lord."
