Rev. John P. Hicks John P. Hicks was born in Cornwall, England, 4 Mar 1838. He came with his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Hicks, to America when he was but four years old, and settled near Cleveland, Ohio. He was licensed to preach in 1866 and began his pastoral career in Venango City, PA, and pastored in many locations including Clarington and Valier, PA. 4 Sept 1873, he married Priscilla Syphrit. They were the parents of one child, Eva Hicks Jeffers. John P. Hicks died at Big Run, PA, 3 Feb 1912. |
