Rev. Johnson J. Wagoner
Rev. Johnson J. Wagoner, was born in Rural
Valley, Armstrong Co., Pa., March 13, 1852. His early education received in the
schools of the vicinity was followed by a collegiate course in Adrian College,
Adrian, Mich., and by a post-graduate course in Heidelberg University. In 1875
he was ordained a minister in the Methodist Protestant Church and faithfully
served that denomination in four or five pastorates, during a period of about
fifteen years. He was received as a minister in the Reformed Church in 1889 or
1890; and until the time of his death served eight different charges: Emlenton,
Turtle Creek, Pa.; Millersburg, Ind.; St. Jacobs near Tiflin, Ohio; South
Bend, Pa.; Germano, Mohican, and Marshallville, Ohio. He died suddenly in Akron,
Ohio, on September 22, 1916. He is survived by his widow, five sons and four
daughters.
