Rev. P. C. Prugh

Rev. P C. Prugh was born on a farm in Montgomery, OH, near the city of Dayton, 13 Sept 1822.  He graduated from Marshall College and the Eastern Theological Seminary at Mercersburg. 

He married Charlotte Hassler of Mercersburg in 1852.  They were the parents of eleven children,  seven of the children reached adulthood, including:  Rev. John H. Prugh, D.D., Etta Kathleen Prugh, and Mary A., wife of Rev. D. N. Harnish, pastor for many years of St. Paul's Reformed Church in Butler.

Rev. Prugh was the pastor at the Reformed Church at Xenia, OH for 22 years.  He also pastored churches in Cincinnati and Germantown, OH. 

Rev. P. C. Prugh was the Superintendent of the St. Paul's Orphans Home in Butler County from 1882-1903.
