Rev. Thomas ThomasRev. Thomas Thomas was born 16 Mar 1840 in Wales, the son of Thomas and Ann Harris Thomas. He was the youngest of nine children. He was educated in Wales and ordained in 1865 as a minister in the Welsh Baptist Church. He came to America after 1868, and settled in Schuykill County, where he pastored the Baptist Church. He then took over the Baptist church in Edensburg, Cambria County. After three years, he resigned and went to Sharon, Mercer County and was a minister for the Welsh Baptist Church, Sharon. He married Mary Ann Evens, in 1870. She died in 1884. They were the parents of Annie, wife of J. N. Wilson; Ida; David, who married Anna Hendrickson; Henry, married Helen Speers; and Claudie. Thomas Thomas married Mrs. Anna N. Davies Reese for his second wife. |
