Samuel and Rosina Fuchs/Fox Schafer/Shaffer

Samuel Schafer/Shaffer and wife Rosina Fuchs/Fox who came from Northampton County, PA to Redbank Twp., Armstrong Co., PA. They lived near Mudlic and New Salem, PA. 

Samuel Schäfer/Shaffer, was born 21 Jun 1779, in Springfield Twp., Bucks Co., PA.  He died after 17 Feb 1847, and before the 1850 Census, in Redbank Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.  He was the son of Solomon and Mary Baughman Schäfer/Shaffer.  His mother was of the Mennonite faith so thus he was confirmed and baptized as an adult.  His mother remarried Christian Shick and they moved into Northampton County, PA. 

Samuel married Rosina Fuchs/Fox born 10 Apr 1784, near Pen Argyl, Plainfield Twp., Northampton Co., PA.  She died after the 1850 Census, near New Salem, Redbank Twp., Armstrong Co., PA.  She was the daughter of Joseph Fuchs (now Fox), and Christina Riemel of Northampton Co., PA.
