
Andrew Consla and Effie Palmanteer McGuire Consla

Kitch, great grandson of Effie Palmanteer
Effie Palmanteer, b: 1856 d: 1940, daughter of
Jeremiah Palmanteer and Euphias Steele who were New York natives that
moved to Crawford County in the 1840s.
Effie's first husband was James Close McGuire
who died in 1888.
Effie's second husband, Andrew Consla, b: 1844
d: 1933, was the son of Peter and Debra Consla,
also New York natives who came to Crawford County.
Andrew was a farmer in Summit Township and
veteran of the Civil War, he was a member of 88th Pennsylvania Infantry and the
last member of the GAR to die in Crawford County.
Effie and Andrew became the parents of five
children: Homer R. Consla who married Grace
Gerard; Blanche A. Consla who married Henry
Jackson; Myrna A. Consla who married Jack McCarthy;
Banks R. Consla and Albert B. Consla.
