McGuire Young at the Samuel Young family farm house in Summit Twp,
Crawford Co, PA.
Florence was the daughter of James Close McGuire and
Effie Palmanteer, both Summit Twp. residents.
Photo taken at the Samuel Young family farm, Inlet
Road, Harmonsburg, Summit Twp, Crawford Co, Pa. in 1916.
Samuel Young (b: 1807 d: 1875), purchased this
farm on Inlet Road from Charles Ferris in 1865.
Samuel's grandson William James Young farmed here
from 1902 till 1923 when he moved to Mercer Co, PA and worked for the Bessemer
Railroad.
This farm house and barns still exist today but are uninhabitable. It is
located about one mile north of Harmonsburg on Inlet Road, about a 1/4 mile east
of the road.
