Hon Hiram L. Richmond Sr was born May 10, 1810, in Chautauqua, Chautauqua County, NY, son of Freeman Richmond and Sarah Townsend.
He married Maria Power Shryock, daughter of Gen. Daniel Shryock.
He became an influential attorney in Meadville and was elected to serve in the Forty-third Congress, from the Twenty-fifth District in Pa.
