John Dennington, born in Suffolk Co, England on Jan 21, 1806 and died Wayne Twp, Crawford Co, PA. Married Margaret Ann Hollister, born in New York Oct 8, 1813 and died Wayne Twp, Crawford Co, PA. Both are buried in the Dennington Cemetery.

They were the parents of: Joseph, Smith (killed during Civil War at Peeble's Farm, VA on Sept 30, 1864), Leonard, William M., William Moody (two different children), Anna Maria, Sarah Louisa and Chauncey John.
