Workers at Talon 1920s Submitted by Martha Ruth Thomas Martha's father, sitting lower left, worked all his life as a tool and die maker for Talon in Meadville. This snapshot was taken at the original Talon factory in Meadville, formerly the Hookless Fastener Company. Dale Emmel recognized his grandfather, Joseph Henry Brant, the man sitting at the far right just outside the door. Joseph Henry Brant came to Meadville from Westmoreland County in 1918. He worked at Talon for many years, starting when it was still The Hookless Fastener Company and retiring sometime around 1950. He was a machinist. Recognize anyone else? Please let me know. Need a closer look? Click on any of the workers to enlarge that portion of the photograph.
