James received his Naturalization papers in Clearfield Co., PA also in 1871. See the following:
Petition for Naturalization. 28 Sept 1871 James Hasson had the following
information on his papers for Petition for Naturalization-
James Hasson was a Native of Scotland, arrived in the United States in the port of NY, in the state of NY, on the 22nd August 1864. On the 28 Sept 1871 he filed his papers for Naturalization to become a citizen of the United States.
Naturalization Record. States that James Hasson was Naturalized on 28 Sept 1871 in Clearfield, Clearfield, PA, that he was a Native of Scotland, now residing in the county of Clearfield, aged Twenty Five years, or thereabouts, he was under the age of 18 years when he came to the United States. He was Bona Fide to become a Citizen of the United States, and renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Queen of
Britain of whom he is now a subject. James Hasson.
