Bridget Welch/Walsh Gardner with her children Submitted by Bea Mansfield Elizabeth Teresa "Bridget" Welch/Walsh Gardner was born in New Brighton, Pa. on 18 Apr 1866, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Kelly Walsh. She married William Lawrence Gardner. Their children, clockwise in the photograph, were: Thomas, William Francis, Mary Elizabeth, Clement J., Hilary Grant, Leo "Lee", and Gertrude. William Lawrence Gardner, died in 1902 of typhoid fever when Bridget was pregnant with Gertrude. Bridget Gardner died 30 Dec 1940 and is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in New Castle.
