Justina Zuzana Tollassy Stanislav Sumansky
Justina Zuzana Tollassy Stanislav Sumansky was
born in Rudnany, Slovakia, to Jan and Maria Bodnovic
Tollassy on 6 Aug 1858.
She first married Stefan Stanislav on 8 Nov 1880
in St. Michael the Archangel Church in Markusovce, Slovakia. With him she had
the following children in Rudnany: Justina
(1882-1960), Michal (1883-1957),
Andrej (1885-1960) and Stefan
(1888-1965).
After her husband died in 1888, she remarried to Marcin
Szumanski, who came to Slovakia from Poland. With him
she had the following children: Martin (1896-1947),
Jozef (1897) and Jan
(1901-1976).
She moved to America in 1921 and later settled with the family
of her daughter, Mrs. Justina Yagersky, at 833
Morton Street, where she died of a heart attack on 7 Dec 1938. She was buried
in St. Joseph's Cemetery on 10 Dec 1938.
