Gartley, great great grandson
Mary Lee Ford who was born in Ireland in 1833
and died in Wayne Twp., Lawrence Co., PA in 1919. She is buried in the Slippery
Rock Presbyterian Cemetery. Her parents were John Lee and
Mary Shannon. She immigrated to the USA in 1855 and married William
Ford in about 1853. They lived in Chewton, Wayne Twp. They had 16
children of which only 3 lived to adulthood. These three are:
Catherine Jane who was born in 1856 and
died in 1929, she married Thomas J. Gillespie.
Abigail L. who was born in 1865 and died in
1931. She married Solomon Aiken.
Walter who was born in 1870 and died in 1910. He
married Flora Fisher.
