John W. and Catherine Mosley White Sr.

John William White, 21 Oct 1867 - 1939, married 24 Dec 1890 Catherine Mosley, 4 Jan 1872 - 5 Sept 1962, daughter of  Benjamin Mosley.  

Born in England, John migrated with his brothers and sisters to American as a young man.  He settled in New Castle and soon met Catherine "Kate" Mosley.  She had migrated from England as a young girl.  Their marriage license gives proof that she came over with her father and probably the rest of her family.  He gives consent for his under aged daughter to marry.  

A handmade dulcimer musical instrument, which was carried by John from England to America is now in the possession of John's great grandson.  View photo of the dulcimer.
