Clayton Karl Snyder was born Mar 21, 1887 in Waterford, Erie County,  PA. He was the son of Joseph G. Snyder and Grace Hess Snyder.

Mary Elizabeth Snyder was born July 15, 1887 in Mercer, PA. She was the daughter of William Henry Snyder and Anna Margaret Uber Snyder.

They became the parents of:

  • Ruth Grace Snyder b. 1908 d. 1931
  • Josephine Louise Snyder b. May 26, 1911 d. June 11, 1994 married Phil D. Stephenson.
  • Nellie Snyder b. Apr 12, 1913 d. Aug 1, 1975 married William Ickes
  • Clifford Raymond Snyder b. Mar 18, 1915 married Margaret Sadler
  • Ralph Edward Snyder b. 1916 married Sally Buttermore
  • Norman Arthur Snyder b. Mar 1, 1921 d. Mar 3, 1992 married Elizabeth Louise Munday
  • Clayton Dale Snyder b. Dec 20, 1924 married Jean Louise Urey
  • William Henry Snyder b. Oct 27, 1926 d. July 28, 1991 married Pearl Clark

  • Lillian Marie Snyder b. June 25, 1930 d. Jan 13, 1968 married Willis Mohney

 

Clayton Karl and Mary Elizabeth Snyder were married Oct 16 1904 in Mercer, Findley Twp. Wed for 60 years. Mary Elizabeth d. Oct 26, 1964.  Clayton Karl d. Nov 26, 1966. Both are buried at Carpenter Cemetery, Springfield Twp, Mercer County, PA.
