John Mathias Yahres, Jr. (1839-1921), husband of Sophia Gregg Yahres. This
photograph was taken during the Civil War, when John served in Company E of the
63rd Penn. volunteers. He was captured in 1864 and was a POW in Andersonville
Prison until the end of the war.
