Andrew T. DavisSubmitted by Carol Judy Zapolnik Andrew T. Davis was born 9 Sept 1855, the son of David Davis (abt 1820 - 13 Dec 1862) and Ruth Rosanna McElwain Davis. David Davis was a member of Co. G., 145th Volunteer Regiment and was killed at the Battle of Fredricksburg. Ruth Rosanna McElwain Davis was born 13 Nov 1825 in Cumberland Co., PA. She was a first cousin to John McElwain, founder of the McElwain Institute. She lived in Greenville for 17 years, prior to 1879, when she relocated to Meadville. Ruth Rosanna McElwain Davis died 27 May 1900 in Crawford Co., PA. Andrew T. Davis was first married to Mary Elizabeth Kee 16 Dec 1874 in Leech's Corners, Crawford Co., by the Rev. Hume. She was the daughter of John and Emily Minnis Kee. Andrew owned a 150 acre farm in East Fallowfield Twp., Crawford Co. He sold it in 1916. Andrew T. Davis died 29 Jun 1923.
