He married Laura Shannon, daughter of Harvey and Electra Davis Shannon. Charley and Laura Shannon Davis were the parents of Dorothy Davis. Writing from the back of the photograph: "This picture was taken the day he retired from Sharon Steel Hoops with 46 years service, May 7, 1955, age 65."
