Elizabeth Sarepta AlbertElizabeth Sarepta Albert was from Mercer. She graduated from Mercer High School, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Grove City College in 1923. While attending Grove City College, she road the Bessemer train back and forth from Mercer each day. More information on Sarepta from John Albert, nephew of Sarepta Albert and son of William Albert. Sarepta was the daughter of Homer and Mathilda Albert. Homer had a blacksmith/mechanic shop in Mercer. Sarepta never married and was a school teacher in Pueblo, Co where she died in the late 50's. She had a brother, William who graduated from Mercer High in 1930 or 1931 and also went on to graduate from Grove City College.
