John Pew and Nancy Glenn Pew

John Pew was born 27 Sept 1800 in Mercer County, PA, to John Pew (1770-1848) and Elizabeth Vaughan (1774-1887).

On 7 Oct 1824, he married Nancy Glenn, who was born on 1 Aug 1804, to Samuel and Sarah Cunningham Glenn.

John and Nancy Pew had ten children, eight boys and two girls.  The youngest son, Joseph Newton Pew, Sr. (1848-1912), was the founder of the Sun Oil Company, now located in Philadelphia, PA.

John Pew died 4 May 1884 and is buried in Findley Grave Yard, about 1 mile east of Mercer, PA.  Nancy Glenn died 1 Feb 1877.
