Mary Eleanor Burdett Johnston Submitted by Norris Burdette Mary Eleanor Burdett was born 20 Feb 1850 to Oliver Burdett and his wife, Abigail Sewall. She married Alexander Johnston on 12 Jul 1867 by Squire McBride in Mercer County, PA. They were the parents of nine children: Fred Leslie Johnston (1869-1891), Arthur Tracy Johnston (1871-1892), James Darwin Johnston (1873-1894), Mary Eleanor Johnston, Thomas Alexander Johnston (1878-1881), June J. Johnston (1881-1937), Wilda Johnston (1888-1941), Nettie Geraldine Johnston Tremayne (1889- 1923) and Bertha Lee Johnston Stubblefield (1891-1931). Mary Eleanor Burdett Johnston died 6 Mar 1895.
